Perth Upmarket

Next weekend is the next Perth Upmarket being held at the University Of W.A in Nedlands.
It comes around just soooo fast , I can hardly believe it .

I really love attending this market as it is so well organized and has so many amazing artists and makers there.
I rarely get to have a look around and when I do I just love seeing what everyone has been doing.

My new thing is unique hand made hand bags . I just LOVE sourcing new fabrics and matching them up together. I never know what they are going to look like until I start cutting out the patten.
They just evolve like a painting would .

I'm probably always going to move from one medium to the next .
My philosophy has always been - If I don't get bored , no one else will!

I have recently returned back from a "short" trip to Bali .... 5 days . I'm here in body but my spirit is still walking around Seminyak some where . Its been 10 years since I last visited the island and I absolutely loved going back there .
Visited a lady who might be able to print up some fabric for me . That will take the bags to another level.
I always enjoyed textiles and am looking forward to a bit more dabbling.

Bali is a great place to visit for inspiration . It really did stir the deep depths of creativity for me and am looking forward to using some ideas in my work .
Visited an amazing button shop (where I spent a fortune) and a wonderful traditional batik studio.
And a few Bintangs by the beach went down well ...

Well .... It has bought to my attention that I could give my blog a little attention....Thanks Miranda. Yes I started this a few months ago and have not got back here . I am delighted to see that 4 people are interested in what I am up to so that has inspired me to get my act together.

At one time I would spend a small fortune on magazines each month to see what was going on in the design and art world , now I tune into my fav blogs. I come away inspired and informed at what is going on around the world in my world. Its just fabulous . So I hope I can interest and inspire any one who chooses to check in every now and then .
As a Visual Artist I was trained to use any medium that I saw fit to express my art in and I am just so glad as I love to move about with my 'Making" and have recently returned to an early love - Jewelery. I actually minored in it at Uni but always preferred to design rather than make - I was too impatient.
I have bought the blank rings,pendants and bracelets and have been inlaying my own artwork in them and had finishing with crystals, glitter and resin .
They are turning out really lovely and I am very excited at their future .
I have not got them for sale any where yet and will be releasing a small range at the next Perth Upmarket on September 13th in Perth.

Finerly setting up my web site right now .
It has been too long since it has been live . I have been getting into all sorts of trouble with people trying to contact me and am looking forward to being back in the internet world .
The time is right I guess.

New Beginings

Well , what a great feeling starting a blog .
It was not that long ago that I didn't even know what one was ... now I have my favorites that I enjoy catching up on all the time .

I really look forward to using this as a tool to get my Artwork out there and network amongst others.
